Thank you for your interest in contributing to WPChats. We publish high-quality, actionable content focused on WordPress themes, plugins, site architecture, performance, and developer-focused tutorials.

To maintain the quality our audience expects, all guest posts must adhere to the following guidelines.

What We Accept

We welcome submissions in these categories:

Technical Tutorials & How-tos: Real-world problem solving (site builds, migrations, speed optimization, security).
Developer API & Code Reviews: Deep dives into WordPress hooks, REST API, or specific theme/plugin frameworks.
In-depth Reviews: Performance-based reviews of themes and plugins (must include data/benchmarks).
Web Design Strategy: UI/UX tips, workflow optimizations, and agency-focused business advice.
Roundups: Tools or services where every recommendation provides unique value.

We do NOT accept: Short listicles with thin content, duplicate/spun content, or “stealth” promotional articles masquerading as reviews.

Content Standards

Human-First & Google Safe

Originality: Submissions must be 100% original. We do not accept content published elsewhere (including Medium or personal blogs).
AI Policy: We value human expertise. If AI was used for research or drafting, you must disclose it. The final output must be substantially edited and "humanized" for clarity and tone.
Accuracy: Provide verifiable claims. Include screenshots, links to official documentation, or test results where applicable.

Editorial Guidelines

Length: 1,500–3,500+ words for reviews and tutorials. Shorter posts are accepted only if they are highly targeted and exceptionally useful.
Formatting: Use H2 for major sections and H3 for subsections.
Code Blocks: Wrap code in fenced blocks. Include brief explanations of what the code does and the expected output.
Metadata: Every submission must include a suggested SEO title (≤70 chars), meta description (120–160 chars), and focus keyword.

Media & Image Specs

To keep the site fast and professional, follow these requirements:

Featured Image: 1200 × 628 px (16:9 ratio).
Inline Screenshots: Minimum width 800px; Maximum width 1200px.
Format & Size: Save as optimized WebP or JPG. Keep individual files under 500 KB.
Alt Text: Provide descriptive alt text for every image.
Delivery: Provide images as separate attachments (do not only embed them in the document).

Links, Affiliate & Sponsored Policy

Editorial Links: We allow 3–5 helpful, contextual outbound links to high-authority resources.
Affiliate Links: Allowed only if clearly disclosed. We reserve the right to add rel="sponsored" or rel="nofollow" to these links.
Author Bio: You may include one link to your personal website or social profile in your bio.
Promotional/Sponsored Posts: If your article is written to promote your own product, service, or company, it is considered Sponsored Content.
Note: Pricing for sponsored content depends on link placement and quantity. Please state your budget in your initial email.

How to Submit

Please send your pitch or completed draft to hsuren@me.com with the following information:

Subject Line: Guest Post Submission: [Your Article Title]
The Content: A Google Doc link (with editing permissions) or .docx attachment.
Media: All images attached separately as files.
Author Info: A short bio (50 words) and a headshot (or Gravatar email).
Metadata: Suggested SEO title, meta description, and 3–6 tags.
Disclosure: Clearly state if the post contains affiliate links or is a sponsored submission.

Review & Publication Timeline

Initial Review: We typically respond within 1–2 business days.
Edits: We reserve the right to edit for style, SEO, and clarity. If substantial changes are needed, we will send the draft back for your approval.
Go-Live: Once approved, we will provide an estimated publication date based on our editorial calendar.
